Crazy Me!!!

Funny category, huh? "Art and Photography" okay, it's 3:33 am!! I just got my belly-button peirced around 1 am and i guess i have some kind of weird adrenaline rush because of all the fun!! maybe i'm just nuts...anyway! We went out with Beth for her birthday, had lots of fun, took a few really cute pictures which I'll be posting here and there, then went to Trilogy because we had joked/talked some about getting piercings and tattoos and stuff and i have been wanting to do more lately....so i said lets go for it! Everyone was up to it. sooo in honor of Beth's birthday, I did something my dad will have a freaking cow over. hahaha I got my navel pierced and I love it! I think I woulda gotten a tattoo, if we had the time and I knew what I wanted...but this was much faster, less healing time, and less permanent. I just chopped my hair off Wednesday too! I do this about once every 3 years...cut my hair, pierce something, decide I'm gonna do what I wanna do for o...

Davin or Ellie?

Which will it be?! lol--you're all just gonna have to wait because its a SURPRISE!! :) I'm having a really really hard time coming up with a good name for a little girl--you know, just in case. But we already know a little boy will be Davin!!(like Gavin with a D) possibly spelled Daven ... We've known that since Genevieve was on the way. :) I'm thinking I kinda like Davyn for a girl, too---of course with the different spelling. But baby's daddy likes Elenore....or Ellie. I really do like it too. (see the cd at the bottom of the blog) David, Genevieve, and Elenore. lol (Trip, Genna-Clair, and  Ellie  or  Davin ) We also kinda sorta like Miriam...but we would just call her Miriam, NO NIC-NAME. lol Let's cross our fingers for a boy, shall we?! lol 18 weeks and counting! Currently listening: Elenore: 30 Years of Rock 'n Roll By The Turtles Release date: 26 September, 1995

Reviving the Writer

... Deciding to revive a once-lost memory is intimidating. The will to bare your thoughts, sometimes unedited, for public viewing, conjures images of hiding behind my mother's dress at church -just to get a good peek at things before edging into view.  If only writing gave us at least that safety net.  A conversation with a friend inspired this post, a decade after shutting down and retreating to small blurbs on social media.  I asked why she hasn't 'written that book.' You know, when judging others, you're just asking to be judged yourself--and our toughest judge typically is our own inner voice. Henceforth, I have determined that on this day, in order to practice what I speak, in absolute protest against my tendency to imposter syndrome, I'll be writing again.  It isn't that I stopped communicating but I stopped sharing my thoughts so openly.  I'll update the happenings of the past decade and plan a fresh look to this space.  Everchanging, Kristen
