Trip called 9-1-1.....

Current mood: shocked Category: Life

My son called 9-1-1 today....Yep, he did! I was in my room, on the phone with my mom and Trip runs in with the other line and says "here Momma....."

The other line:: "Hello, this is 9-1-1 what is your emergency?"

me:: "excuse me?"

Trip:: "Genna did it."

me:: "What? No way. I'm so sorry. No, there is no emergency....etc....."

Turns out, Trip did call.....because Genna-Clair supposedly told him to....I doubt she even knows what 9-1-1 is. Trip does because we studied it in our preschool curriculum. But he also knows when it should be used. I'm pretty sure he didn't think it was real...or that it would go through.

Well, the police officer came and asked "who the culprit was"-his words- Trips eyes got watery and he was thoroughly embarrased. We talked about who 9-1-1 is for, how and when it should be used, and why it was not okay for Trip to call today. I think he got it. ~sigh~

Tough lesson for a 4 year old but one I'm sure he'll NEVER forget.

Yet another reason I love being a mom. :)

Nesting---30 weeks and counting...I have lost my mind!!

I can't rip myself away from the sewing machine!! Except for 10 min here and there to swap out the laundry, feed the kids, and make sure that basic needs are met and my house doesn't get destroyed. LOL And you know how normally (I think I mentioned) once I start a project, I can't stop until that project is done?! Well---not so much the case this week....I have my nursery things going, a valance for the playroom, a few mei tai's, and whatever else I get the urge to do.....lol I just get bored with one and go to another. I'll get it all done soon, but I can't stay on just one project for some reason!! I think my sewing machine is gonna bite the dust if I don't chill out. Its not the best in the world......poor thing. LOL Thank God Christmas is right around the corner!! Momma's gettin a new sewing machine!! YAY! ::update:: LOL finished the curtain in the playroom, converted an old changing table into a cute little reading bench for the kids (I mean this i...

Aha!

I DID post more blog installments, only on a different blog. Some of my posts were of a bitter, angry, "everything is unfair" type....but know that I'm over it all now. The people it involves are much loved and all has been forgiven. (Well, the family stuff anyway) lol So...I did, I did, I did post more!! See!!?? And reading back through a lot of it is very painful...because I know what was going on behind the words typed there. Anyway, there's some background of me, and whats gone on in my life the last 2-3 years or so...well, some of it. A Little South of Sanity Great name, huh? I just didn't think I could link to it. :)

baby names

Well I said before that if this baby is a boy, its name would be Davin---Davey decided he doesn't really like that name very much and gave me a really good reason why, so I've decided that its okay NOT to use that name.... A little girl will be Ella or Ellie, and I'm keeping the name we've chosen for a boy kinda quiet except to close friends and relatives that I can trust not to say ugly things.... As far as my immediate family (mom dad siblings etc...) the baby will be Harry or Sue. lol I'm not telling them another thing because they've been so rude about it. Its my baby and if I want to name it Prudence or Darwin or Nancy or John or whatever,  I will! (I don't like those names, btw...lol) In other words....people need to keep their comments to themselves. just like with TRIP I will call my child what I want to, like it or not.
